Hi! My name is Jeanette Vadbunker. I have been at Chase since 2006, but have taught since 2001. My role at Chase has always been to support and teach diverse learners in grades kindergarten- sixth grade. Currently, I am teaching 3rd-5th grade English Language Arts, in the intermediate resource room. I enjoy being part of the Chase Community. Teaching is important to me for many reasons, but one in particular stands out. By impacting a child daily, it can lead to life long impact for that child and family. Robert John Meehan said it best, "Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding,"
I received my bachelor's degree in Special Education from Illinois State University in 2001, and my master's degree in School and Instructional Leadership, with a concentration in curriculum and instruction from St. Xavier University in 2005. Since then, I went back to to school in 2012 to receive my English as a Second Language endorsement from Olivet Nazarene University.
In my free time, I love playing with my daughter (Gianna) and my son (Sebo), traveling with my husband, cheering on our local Chicago sports teams (Chicago Cubs), and exploring the city.
